
Author Guidelines
Type of Papers:
- Research Articles (Full-length papers): The manuscript should be original, comprising 4,000–6,000 words, include at least 20 references, and be structured into the following sections: Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods (combined), Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Statement and declarations, and References.
- Short communications (Original papers): The manuscript should be original, comprising 1500–2500 words, include at least 15 references, and be structured into the following sections: Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods (combined), Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Statement and declarations, and References.
- Review articles: The manuscript should be original, comprising 6,000–8,000 words, and include at least 40 references.
Submission and Review Process
Authors are encouraged to submit original, unpublished manuscripts through our online submission portal. Each manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer-review process to ensure unbiased evaluation and maintain scientific credibility.
Plagiarism Policy
The Journal of Fisheries and Zoological Sciences is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly integrity. This journal maintains a zero-tolerance approach to plagiarism. All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection tools, and manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold may be rejected.
Terms and Conditions
By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Fisheries and Zoological Sciences, authors confirm that the work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. All authors must have made substantial contributions, approve the final manuscript, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Research involving humans or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data, proper citation of sources, and availability of supporting materials. Open Access
As an open-access journal, JFZS makes all articles freely available, enabling unrestricted access to scientific knowledge for researchers, professionals, and communities worldwide.
Article Processing Charges (APC): To maintain high-quality editorial services, peer review, and digital publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to accepted manuscripts. There are no submission fees or charges for revisions prior to acceptance.

This fee covers editorial handling, peer review management, typesetting, digital archiving, and online hosting.
Discounts and Waivers
- Discounts may be considered for researchers from low-income countries, students, or those without institutional support.
- Authors may request partial or full waivers in justified cases, subject to editorial approval.

- APC is payable after acceptance of the manuscript.
